Students ' evaluation of the project

My career - My future

First thing I would like to say is this project was huge opportunity and great experience for me. I am really happy about everything what happened and I am really thankful to our teachers, who worked relly hard to get this done.
I have never been out of my country and without my language for this long as I was in Lithuania. There was really hard to connect with lithuanians, because I wasn’t so good at English, but what they came here, I was pretty proud of my English skills. In Lithuania I understood that I need to learn russian language a lot better. I was shamed of my russian talking skills and I was really sad, beause I didn’t understand a lot.
I didn’t get as much friends and contacts as I would like to, but that is just because I am not very communicable. I am total introvert and it is hard for me to make normal conversation and get new friends. That is why I felt alone sometimes. I understood I need to learn how to make conversation because without this skill great week can be ruined.
I really liked pretty much all activities – it was never boring and always thre was something to do. Trip to Rīga and trip to Vilnus were the best! Vilnus is relly beautiful city and all the buildings are amazing, super interesting and orginal. Vilnus is so different from Rīga and that is what I loved there.
Even maybe I didn’t enyoj everything that happened in Lithuania and Latvia, I have understood and learned a lot. I got those things that I should work on and I totaly will. I don’t regret that I got into this and I am super thankful for every single thing...

It was a fantastic experience. I have made new friends and I have learned how to live in other family. Also I have learned how to admit people in my family, home. I really liked time, that we spent in Lithuania and I hope they liked too. In that one week in Lithuania I got acquainted with all parcipans in our project. I liked trips to Vilna, and factorys. I learned a lot of new in Lithuania. I learned how to work in groups with other people, not Latvians. It was pretty hard, but we used dictionary, because we had to translate some words that we didn’t know in english. I really enjoyed chocolate preparation. And I won in competition. And as prize i got chocolate box. In Latvia I liked trip to Old Riga,  milk and ice cream factory. especially degustation. That was the best part. I liked trip to North 66. I learned a lot of new thing about factory. I liked orientation, so do my girls, that lived with me. And climbing wall, so all the thing that we could do, like, play football, volleyball, train on trainers and so on. The best thing was night at school, we all enjoyed that so much. We watched  films, played games, danced, so much fun. I really stared to connect wuth girls that lived with me. They felt like home. The atmosphere was really good. I hope i will  take part in another project.

I really liked this project. I learned a lot of new things. Number one – now it is much easier to communicate in English. I can make sentences much faster. Before the project it took a while to make a good speech. When I was in Lithuania, I didn’t have any other ways to communicate, because I don’t know how to speak other languages.
In communication with other students I had to start conversations and continue them and I was in need to answer questions fast and ask questions by myself. So now I can do it without any problems. That’s why I want to say thanks to this project.
And I was really surprised that in Latvia there is a lot of businessmen who can speak English. In Lithuania situation wasn’t that good. And now I understand knowing some languages is really important. And when you talk in person, there is need for bigger vocabulary, not for grammar knowing.

During the months of this project i gaind a lot, even though i got added to the project a few months later than others. In my opinion the project was a success, because now i know what i want to be in the future. My english skills now are alot better and i feel more comfortable speeking it. I gained a lot of new friends and met alot of cool people. In Lithuania i really liked the group activities and the science museum. Also the billiard parties were fun, even though they really weren't part of the project. I also leared a lot in the factories and at the Villnius university. Also i didn't like the matress factory in Lithuania because it was really boring  and seemd pointles. In Latvia i didn't really have a favorite place, exept for "Lāči" bakery and also the night at school. The airport visit quite stressfull for me because my passport was expired. Rock climbing wall was fun but i only climbed once because i was too busy playing football. In my opinion the days that we went to Lithuania and they came to us was way to short. it was only about 4 actual days cause they left in the morning of friday. I think that this was a good starting expieriance for our school regarding projects like this. Overall the project was very fun and I think was a sucsess. If i had the chance to take part in a another project like this, i would, but i'm going to a diffrent school next year.
